Super Bowl Chili Cook-Off! As our tradition, we will again be having our annual Chili Cook-Off and Super Bowl party on Sunday, February 6th. Bring your best batch of chili because we will be voting for the top three chilis to win the chili champion apron as well as gift cards to Chili's restaurant. We will also be showing Super Bowl XLV between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers on the big screen. This is the perfect opportunity to get your friends together for free food and to watch one of the most anticipated sporting events of the year! Student Forum, May 26-29 Student Forum this year will be held at the University of Evansville in southern Indiana from May 26th to the 29th. Student Forum is the national leadership conference of the United Methodist Student Movement, including leadership training, spiritual formation, and networking. Registration is open to all young adult college and university students. The registration fee to attend is $75 per person, which includes all conference materials, lodging, and meals. If you are interested in attending or have any other questions, reply to this email or talk to Dylan. 24 Hour Prayer Room We will be having a 24 hour prayer room from 7pm Friday, February 11 to 7pm Saturday, February 12. This is an excellent opportunity to set aside an hour of your day to spend some time alone with God in prayer. More information on the way! Marathon and Half Marathon Training The annual Illinois Marathon and Half Marathon will be April 30, 2011. Renee is organizing a group to run Saturday mornings this semester to train for the marathon/half marathon. If you are interested in group training for the event, or if you just like to run, contact Renee at rschroe2@illinois.edu. We will be meeting at the entrace to the ARC (201 E. Watch Inception this Saturday night! Come kick off the spring semester with a movie night and snack party! This Saturday night at 8pm, we will be showing the blockbuster Inception in our very own theater complete with a big screen, surround sound, and movie theater seats. Our snack menu includes soft pretzels, nacho chips with cheese, popcorn, veggie tray, apple cider, and soda. Feel free to bring your own favorite movie muchies, too! The theater is located upstairs above Etc Cafe on the corner of Green and Goodwin in Urbana. This event is free; don't forget to bring your friends!
