September Service Project THIS SUNDAY! This semester we are planning on doing a service project once a month. The service project for the month of September will be held this Sunday, September 19 after the contemporary service (around 12:30). We will be doing some easy landscaping work around the grounds of Wesley. You can bring a change of clothes if you want, but it should not be too messy. Hamburgers, veggie burgers, and some other snacks will be available throughout the afternoon for volunteers. We hope to see you there! Rethink Hunger September 30th DID YOU KNOW? --One out of every eight Americans struggles with hunger. --Approximately 25,000 persons die of hunger and hunger related causes every day. That's over 1,000 men, women, and children dying every hour of every day. What can YOU do? The students of Wesley will be promoting awareness for Hunger Action Month out on the Main Quad on Thursday, September 30th from 10 am until 2 pm. We are looking for volunteers to help set up, sit at our table, pass out fliers, and clean up. If you are interested, please sign up here. More details to come. Haunted House Planning Meetings It's that time of year again! Weekly haunted house planning meetings will be held Fridays at 7:30 pm in the Etc. Coffeehouse and Sundays at 12:30 pm at Etc. (starting September 26th). A light lunch will be provided Sunday afternoons. Mission Trip to Thailand We are possibly taking a mission trip to Thailand this January. If you are at all interested and you do not currently have a valid passport, you should get one! It will take a couple of months to process the application, so you should apply sooner rather than later. Passports are good for ten years, so even if you don't end up going, it may come in handy later on.
