| Ash Wednesday Planning Meeting TONIGHT after Midweek |  After Midweek worship tonight, Wednesday, February 3, we will be having a planning meeting in the Etc. Coffeehouse for our Ash Wednesday Service on February 17th. All ideas are welcome as we are in the first stages of planning.

| | Superbowl Party and Chili Cook-Off Sunday, February 7th at 5:00 PM |  Right before our Super Bowl Party, we will be holding our 4th annual Chili Cook Off.
Bring your best chili and "fixings" and then we will officially determine who the best chili cook in the area is. The grand prize will be a $50 gift certificate to Chili's Restaurant and the coveted Wesley Chili Champion Apron.
All attendees at the Super Bowl party will be judges. (So if you really want to win, bring lots of friends!)
Please reply to this email if you are bringing chili. One medium sized pot of chili will be enough as we will have many entrants.

Our Super Bowl Party will also be held at the same time as the Chili Cook-Off. We will have a giant projection screen set up for the big game: the New Orleans Saints vs. the Indianapolis Colts. Kick off is at 5:25pm, so get here early to get a good seat!
Please bring a snack to share if you do not bring a pot of chili.

It's time for a new church directory, and all of you are invited to be in it!
When you get your picture taken, you will receive a free 8x10 photograph as well as a free church directory. Stop by and see Donna in the church office for more information and to sign up for a time. Olan Mills will be at Wesley Friday, February 12th and Saturday, February 13th.

After the contemporary service at 11:15 am on Sunday, February 14, there will be a church-wide potluck lunch. Feel free to bring a dish to share as we meet in friendship and fellowship.

Each week we will be looking at a new story in its historical context and modern issues that it may raise. This class will be offered at two different times each week. Choose which works best for you. Each weeks classes are independent so come when you can. Classes are free and we have bibles you can borrow.
Fridays from 2:30 - 4:00 pm and again
Sundays from 12:30 - 2:00 pm (This class will be include a "lite lunch")

Friday January 29th & Sunday January 30th - Stories from Genesis
Friday February 5th & Sunday February 7th - Stories from Genesis

| Midweek Student Worship- Every Wednesday at 8:30 PM
|  Midweek worship is an informal, student-led worship that provides a spiritual life midway through the week. Time for singing and praying, time for reflection and contemplation and time with God and friends. We start with announcements at 8:30 pm in Watseka Lounge and then move upstairs into the Great Hall for worship.

|  Looking for a place to hangout on a Friday night? Join us for fair-trade coffee and tea, snacks, live entertainment, pool, TV and fun. We're really excited about kicking off this new time in our old coffeehouse.
Everyone is welcome to come by for a few minutes or until we close at Midnight.
