Mexican-flavored Worship

tacos

On Saturday, April 9 at 6:30 pm, we will be having Mexican-flavored worship!

What is Mexican-flavored worship, you ask?

Well, we will be taking over the Great Hall kitchen to make and eat tacos for dinner. We will also be making sopapillas to snack on throughout the night.

After our fun in the kitchen, we will have a time of worship with singing and prayer.

Come join us for a time of fun and fellowship!

Bring a friend to Midweek March 30th!

The Wednesday after spring break has been declared the "Bring a Friend to Midweek" Midweek. John Powers will be giving the message.

This is a great opportunity to invite your lab partner, roommate, or that guy that always sits by you in class to a great time of worship and fellowship.

As always, Midweek starts at 8:30 in the Watseka Lounge at Wesley every Wednesday.

Relay for Life sign-ups

Wesley has officially registered a team for this year's University of Illinois Relay for Life April 16-17. Click here to join the team. Even if you can't make the actual event, you can still help us raise money for cancer research!

If you have any questions or would like more information about the event, email the team captain, Hannah Nelson, at nelson10@illinois.edu.

Peer Ministers for next year

We're just past the halfway point of this semester, but it's never too early to start planning for next year!

If you want to have a key role in planning activities and service projects at Wesley, apply to be a Peer Minister! Responsibilities include weekly meetings with the campus minister and peer minister team as well as other tasks designed around your personal strengths and interests. The position is different for every peer minister.

To learn more about specific duties of being a peer minister or if you're interested in applying, email Dylan at campus_minister@wesleyui.org. You can also reply to this email to ask any of the peer ministers listed at the top of this email for more information about what they do at Wesley.

Youth Mission Trip to New Mexico

The Wesley Youth Group will be going on a mission trip this summer to New Mexico (no longer South Dakota) to work on a Navajo Indian Reservation. The trip is July 8-18. If you are interested in being a chaperone or serving alongside our youth, just reply to this email or talk to Nate Luzwick.
