Mexican-flavored Worship

tacos

On Saturday, April 9 at 6:30 pm, we will be having Mexican-flavored worship!

What is Mexican-flavored worship, you ask?

Well, we will be taking over the Great Hall kitchen to make and eat tacos for dinner. We will also be making sopapillas to snack on throughout the night.

After our fun in the kitchen, we will have a time of worship with singing and prayer.

Come join us for a time of fun and fellowship!

Summer Covenant Group

Summer Sun

What are your plans for this summer?

If you are going to be in the Champaign-Urbana area, Dylan is trying to get a group together to meet on a fairly regular basis. If you are interested in potentially being part of this covenant group, email Dylan at campus_minister@wesleyui.org

Cunningham Children's Home needs your help!

quilts

Cunningham Children's Home is having a quilt sale next weekend and has requested our help in taking down and folding the quilts after they are done. We will be meeting at 4:30 outside the parking lot doors at Wesley to carpool over on Saturday the 9th. We will be back in time for Mexican Flavored Worship that night.

If you are interested in helping out, please reply to this email!

Relay for Life sign-ups

Wesley has officially registered a team for this year's University of Illinois Relay for Life April 16-17. Click here to join the team. Even if you can't make the actual event, you can still help us raise money for cancer research!

If you have any questions or would like more information about the event, email the team captain, Hannah Nelson, at nelson10@illinois.edu.

Green Service Project

As it turns to spring we will be doing a green service project through Faith in Place on Saturday, April 16th. Making our community cleaner and more colorful by planting or restoring a garden will have a lasting impact on many. Come get dirty! Location and time TBD.

Annual Conference

Annual Conference for the Illinois Great Rivers Conference of the United Methodist Chruch will be held June 1-4 in Peoria. Students are always welcome at this conference-wide meeting, and you don't have to worry about booking a hotel if you come with us! If you would like more information about the event or would like to go, email Dylan at campus_minister@wesleyui.org.

APO is continuing their movie nights in the Wesley Theater. Sunday they will be showing The Shawshank Redemption at 2pm. Wednesday at 6:30 they will be showing The Dark Knight.
